Knotty Linda, Leathercrafter

As long as I can remember I've loved the beauty of fancy braids and knots.  When our daughter was young, her hair was my playground and she often went to school with the most elaborate of braids.  I was a "career woman" and it wasn't until I lost out on my dream job after months of self-study that I seriously starting working with knots and braids.

It wasn't easy to learn.  There are very few people here on Vancouver Island who have the kind of knowledge I was looking for.  So, armed with books and a lot of enthusiasm, tenacity and practice, I started to learn the art of braiding and knotting leather lace.  

For many years I have been making bracelets named after friends and acquaintances who have inspired their design and support my learning.   My work is available for purchase through vendor booths or my website.
